Friday 11/25/16
Plaster Sports Complex
Class 2 State Championship
3pm
Lamar Tigers (13-0)
VS
Trinity Catholic Titans (12-0)
The Tigers are making their sixth straight trip to the Championship Game in Class 2 and looking to
6-0 over that time. Lamar enters the game averaging 53.75 points per game while the Titans score 51.75 during their season. But don't look for 105 points on the board on Friday. Lamar didn't give a single point until week 4 and more than 19 only once this year and that was to Class 3 Monett who is also playing for a state Championship.
Class 4 Championship
11/25/16 7 pm
Plaster Stadium, Springfield, Mo
Harrisonville Wildcats (11-3)
VS
Kearney Bulldogs (13-1)
Kearney Bulldogs are the Class 4 defending Champions and outside of Lamar the only team defending its title. These two teams have a couple of common opponents this season, Platte County and Savannah. Kearney holds an 84 point differential in those games. However the Wildcats perhaps are not the same team having avenged a 12 point loss to Grain Valley in week 6 by defeating them 33-10 in the district Championship.

Class 3 State Championship
11/26/16 11 am
Plaster Stadium
Marryville Spoofhounds (14-0)
VS
Monett Cubs (13-1)
While the Spoofhounds come in with maybe the most unique mascot and a 2013 Championship under their belt, history maybe on the Cubs side. Monett has not been in the Championship game since 1977, a 21-19 victory over Louisiana which was played at Monett. Prior to that the Cubs won the first ever championship game played at Plaster Stadium, a 37-8 victory over Shelby in 1971.
And hey maybe this is the year of the Cubs.
Class 1 State Championship
11/26/16 3 pm
Plaster Stadium
Penny Hornets (14-0)
VS
Monroe City Panthers (11-3)
Penney has won two Championships since 2010 and Monroe City has 1 State Championship in school history back in 1996 with a 21-0 victory over Springfield Catholic.
Class 5 State Championship
11/26/16 7 pm
Plaster Stadium
Vianney Griffins (8-5)
VS
Ft. Zumwalt North Panthers (12-1)
Just one common opponent between these 2, Battle of whom the Panthers own a 6 point differential to the positive side, Both teams making their first bid for a state Championship. Cade Brister may be the difference in this game as he was in the Quarterfinal game against Glendale.
