USA Today has Kickapoo ranked 10th in the Midwest region. They've played a far tougher schedule than any other team in SWMO. Today, the Lady Chiefs are playing the USA Today 21st ranked team in the country Fayetteville, AR.
1. University of Kickapoo, of this there can be no debate until Nixa hits with a "sucker punch" in the KXTR. It won't happen.
2. Ozark, even with an 8 point loss to Glendale, I'd predict Ozark wins that meeting 8 of 10 times on any court.
3. Glendale, don't let three gulps on Okie red clay fool you as the wheels fell off the western wagon. Glendale remains in the top three on strength of beating now 5-1 Republic with authority.
4. Nixa, team speed, back court, defense, and harmony are in question after Ozark devoured them in Ozark. The new coach can silence the murmurs with a 2-1 showing in the KXTR. Tall order in the winners bracket, and every bracket in the KXTR.
5. There are 15 teams for this spot. One of them is NOT Webb City. The "flashy" 6-1 record is filled with nobody teams and a loss to Carthage. Why not put Carthage here? Just as silly!
Since Poo and OHS have not met this poll is speculation. Has Nixa had any quality wins to deserve a #2? OHS did win their last meeting with NHS by 17...no way are they ranked at Number 2. OHS and Poo maybe a #1 toss up. As for Glendale...they did beat the Tulsa Union JV team to finish 7th in the Tulsa Holiday Hoopla Tourny. They did not defeat the Tulsa Union VARSITY team that Ozark defeated for the CHAMPIONSHIP in this tournament, so yes they did go 1-2 in that particular respect. Understand from a GHS parent they won big, but came out of the tip shaky even in this game until Temple rallied the troops for a win.
Rankings don't mean too much at this point, but fun to speculate!
I would like to read your reasoning on how Nixa is ranked higher than a team that BEAT them by 17 and then wnet on to beat the defending class 6 team from Oklahoma.
Defending Class 6 champ from Oklahoma...um...how many players returned? That team could be terrible this year. What they did last year doesn't matter. Sorry.
No way is Nixa a number two. I agree the poo and Oz may be a one ranking either way. Until these teams play that spot is up for grabs. Good luck to all of the teams listed and all others...lots of fun to watch all of you!

And they will win by 10. U of Poo has meat in the middle--my luke warm pick to win their district by a free throw over Ozark.

SportsGuy!
Who rates your Girls' teams?
The rankings are COC heavy--and I'm a COC fan.
The area top five:

Glendale defeated Tulsa Union in their third game at that tournament. So, they went 1-2.

Can you cover equally the girls? What are the top girls teams in class 1-3?

the same way OU is in the Championship game instead of Texas.
