It’s time for the second annual Missouri Basketball
Coaches Association Hall of Fame Weekend in
Springfield, Missouri on April 25 & 26, 2015. Once again
the MBCA is proud to present the Hall of Fame induction
ceremony, Academic All-State banquet, and Missouri
Challenge showcasing top seniors from throughout
Missouri, featured in one weekend.
MBCA Hall of Fame Inductees
The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association is proud to
release their 2015 Hall of Fame class to be inducted at a
ceremony on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 12:00 PM.
Once again, the MBCA has partnered with Hazelrigg
Farms in Springfield as the presenting sponsor for the
induction ceremony, which will take place at the Missouri
Sports Hall of Fame in Springfield, Missouri. Tickets for
the event may be purchased from the Missouri
Basketball Coaches Association for $20 at the door. The
Hall of Fame will open at 11:00 AM and lunch will be
served at 12:00 with the ceremony to follow.
Inductees include: Ron Rhodes, Festus; Brad Boyer,
Media; Jay Blossom, Webster Groves; Jay Osborne,
Nixa; Mark Spigarelli, Blue Springs; Denny Hunt,
Southwest Baptist; Robert Corn, Missouri Southern;
Kenneth Layman, Hardin Central; John Thompson,
Jefferson City.
MBCA Academic All-State
The Missouri Basketball Coaches Association (MBCA) is
very proud to select and present the Academic All-State
basketball teams each school year. The MBCA honors
these top scholar athletes at the banquet on April 26, at 1
PM at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center
in Springfield, Missouri.
MBCA presents Missouri Challenge
Springfield, MO - The O'Reilly Family Event Center on
the Drury University campus will play host to 160 of the
state's top graduating senior boys and girls basketball
standouts when the Missouri Basketball Coaches
Association hosts the Missouri Challenge on April 25 &
April 26. Teams are divided to represent each of the
MBCA eight regions. Collegiate Awards has served as
the title sponsor of the event.

Gary Filbert Lifetime Achievement Award
The highest honor given by the Missouri Basketball
Coaches Association, the Gary Filbert Lifetime
Achievement award this year will be presented to Gene
Bess, Three Rivers Community College. Gene Bess is
currently in his 45th season leading the Raider basketball
program. Bess has guided his teams to more than 1,200
victories and two national titles during his tenure and has
a lifetime of experience promoting basketball in the
Show-Me State.
Mr. & Miss Show-Me Basketball
Mr. & Miss Show-Me Basketball will be announced at the
Academic All-State banquet on April 26 in Springfield.

Shamet, Park Hill; Kevin Puryear, Blue Springs South;
Jimmy Whitt, Hickman; Jacob Caruso, Mansfield; Casey

Anunoby, Jefferson City.
