Locals to Play Basketball in Australia over the next several Days

Hey! Hope you are having a great summer.  I wanted to share some information with you if you could please pass it on and get these young ladies some recognition.

On Saturday three local girls and one local coach are combining with two other girls from Missouri, two girls from Texas, and one from Nevada to compete in the Down Under International Sports Basketball Tournament in Australia.

Hailey Jo Hopkins, senior at Greenwood Laboratory School; Sydnee Garrett senior at Stockton High School, and Kaycee Gerald, Junior at Hillcrest High School are local talents that will be representing our region in the games.  Hillcrest Coach Jeni Hopkins will be coaching the team.

We leave on Saturday afternoon for 12 days and hope to return with medals! The games are Olympic style formats and very competetive.
