Measuring sticks Come out this week

With Rogersville going to Branson we will see just how worthy they are of that state ranking. Branson put it to a shorthanded Cassville team but I still believe that Branson is awful good. Not ready to jump on that Rogersville wagon. Interested to see the outcome between Willard and Ozark as Willard has lost some key players from last year, this was a game that went down to the wire last year and that shouldn't be the case this year. Greenfield, Lockwood and Miller should continue to roll setting that 3 way battle for the Spring River Valley crown as Peirce City may get caught on the outside looking in. I know its week 2, but it is still fun to prognosticate (hope I spelled that right). Hope that everyone enjoyed the show Friday, lining up guest for this week, who would like to here from?

Questions Answered?

After the first night of High School Football some of the questions have been answered, Webb City, not that there was a question, but they are still very good. Not only the COC large but the entire state was put on notice after Webb took an early 27-0 lead over Harrisonville and cruised to a 33-7 victory. In Nevada the Liberators prooved that they once again are the team to beat in the small COC as Peavey had almost 200 yds passing in the 1st half as Bolivar dispatched Nevada. Cassville struggled against a very good Branson team, shorthanded, but the wildcats and the Pirates begin their seasons much the way they did last year and we know how that ended up. Glendale, unfortunately, also begins their year much as they did last year, with an injury at a key position. New coaches in the area get started with mixed results as Marshfield and Miller both get wins, Miller maybe at a pretty high cost injury wise, and Willard and Coach Roweton lose to his former school Rolla. Ozark gets a rouph start as Carthage hangs a basketball score on them in Christian county. Fair Grove cruises, and Shafitzel gets 6 touchdowns closer to the state record. But all and all not many suprises for week one, and as always looking forward to week 2.

Well everybody is rollin'

Well football practice is here, the summer months are winding down the pads, helmets and practice jerzees have been passed out. For the next 3 months Friday nights in the ozarks will be dominated by the lights around the fields of the local institutions responsible for educating our children. Who will step forward this year and take center stage down the stretch. Will it be those Eagles from Fair Grove who return one of the most dominating players in Southwest Missouri on the offensive side of the ball. Could it be those tradition rich Miller Cardinals as they start the year with a new coach and return several lettermen from a very good team of a year ago. What about those folks from Logan-Rogersville as they look to build on a record setting season from a year ago. Well and then you have the reigning state champions from Webb and Cassville and teams from Monett and Bolivar who hope to knock them off this year. Tell us what you think, is it going to be your team this year?

The Second Annual All-Scoreboard Team Banquet

We have tenatively set our Second Annual All-Scoreboard Team Banquet for Saturday April 10th at the Clarion Convention Center. This year we will be adding an All-Scoreboard Football edition to our banquet. I know this is a long way off but it is necessary in order to get the needed space.
