Last night may have been our last Show on the Jock.

We have had a great time sharing scores with you on the Jock 98.7 over the past one year, however due to some things that have been out of our control we can no longer continue. We have contacted numerous business ie: Coke, Prime, The Courts, Hiland Dairy, restauraunts, sporting goods, barber shops, and hospitals. With the economics being as they are, even the station was not able to come through on advertisers they guaranteed. Unless 6 businesses come through next week we cannot afford to continue. We appreciate all the Coaches and administrators do deligence in making sure thier schools got information to us and then to you. We will continue to update this web site with information that is provided but the show was a big part of getting out the message.

Thank you,

Guy Newcomb

Hate to hear that, guys. Hope some sponsors step up and keep you on the air.

Hey, maybe you could take over that 2-4 PM slot on The Jock.....it needs some new blood anyway!

The local coverage on Jock 98.7 is really helping spread interest in all HS sports. Sorry the show may be a no go Guy! Also, I like the 2-4pm slot..Edwards talks the stuff the other guys don't touch. Small schools get some much needed time and the biggies are covered too. If your kid swims, wrestles, runs track, etc you get no talk...Edwards does it all and well.

Edwards is not bad but he focuses to much on the COC - Ozark to be exact and trying to recruit or publicize for his girls YMCA/Traveling team(?) or pump up his favorites. What ever happened to Art anyways.

With that being said I do hope the score board guy continues on. I love the show because if the live atmosphere. Try Andy's frozen custard or the courts as a sponsor. SEEEEEE YAAAAAA.

You guys did a great job, is there any chance of a 15 or 30 min show where at least we could get the scores even if we miss out on all the interviews?

I've been listening to Guy & Derick since they started they'll be sorely missed if the show folds.

Here's another vote for the Scoreboard Guy to move to 2-4 PM on the Jock.

They have a decent concept for that mid-afternoon show, just needs someone with more personality to take it over.

GOOD LUCK GUY(S)!!!!!!

I cannot believe the Jock would let you guys go and not replace it. there are 1000s of us that listen for the scores. surely they would do something to keep it on.

I am with them, get a spot for you guys. I still cannot believe you don't get paid

I know that you guys are not "media" people but That is the reason all the coaches are so good about getting you info. Blogging here really does not do any good we need to be call the Jock. 868-6100 or 862-3990. If enouph of us call they will have to put the show on.

Hey you guys are not theat good, but I still love the info, I think anyone could read the scores, and sometimes you guys even mess that up.

Everyone needs to be positive if you do not like listening to something just turn off the radio. I love listening to Art on the Jock but he cannot be on the air all the time. I was not a real big fan of the 2-4 pm slot, but at times it is good, when edwards starts talking about himself, his accomplishments or his FastPitch Softball team the lighting (which I think is based in Billings)I will just turn the channel for 5-10 minutes then switch back. I love sports so I continue to listen. With that being said I do like the scoreboard guys and the atmoshepre that they operate in will sometime have hiccups but that is what makes it so enjoyable to listen to. I pray that you all get some sponsors.
