Guy Newcomb, was involved in a 2 car accident today in Springfield, he sustained head and neck injury but seems to be otherwise OK. He has no idea what happened, but has been released and is home with family. Thank you to all the people who reached out at the accident and long time Friend of the Family Chris Britain who just happened to be at the right place at the right time to help with the vehicle towing and make sure he was safely home. Though a seemingly mild accident, Guy was wearing his seat belt which could have saved his life. He wanted to thank everyone for reaching out via text and calls, and keeps assuring folks he will be up and around tomorrow, we doubt that. If he does not respond to text or calls he has been asked to stay away from his phone, but in some cases if seen, his family and those closest to him will try to respond in kind. We thought this might be the best way to inform the public, this is an unfortunate event and all others involved walked away. Guy we are confident, will recover quickly and be back here updating the public on the High School Scores.
