2013 Summer Missouri State Cup Soccer Tournament at Lake Country Soccer

Lake Country Soccer is hosting the 2013 Summer Missouri State Cup Soccer Tournament here in Springfield.  The event draws the best of the best to play at a highly competitive level and serves as a platform to progress to a National Championship (televised). http://www.moyouthsoccer.org/2013_state_cup/

I reach out because it is about sports, soccer and the entire community due to Mother Nature.  Last Thursday and Friday we had a great deal of rain so we had to activate a contingency plan we had in place that required us using Springfield Public Schools, Nixa Schools, Ozark Schools and Drury University turf fields to get all games in, 9 venues in total.  The community rallied together and we executed a brilliant event this past weekend and anticipate the same this weekend.

The event was last weekend with pool play and this weekend with semis’ and finals this Saturday and Sunday.  Here is the event by the numbers:

2013 State Cup by the numbers:

9 – Venues used
20 – Staff Members
75 - Volunteers
120 - Referees

210 - Games
