1/22/2011 scores

An action packed Saturday of basketball end with a big bang as Glendale beat Kickapoo for the first time in 9 years to win the Glendale Winter Classic 79-75.  Mason Hodges is named the tournament MVP for Glendale.  Not only does this throw another monkey wrench in the ‘best team in the Ozarks’ discussion, it could have big implications come district time.

On the ladies side, Couch takes the title at the Thayer Winter Classic from the home team with a 55-53 win in the championship.  The Lady Indians haven’t lost since dropping 2 games at the Walnut Grove Holiday Classic.

Other champions crowned include the Willow Springs and Monett girls, and the Cassville, Hillcrest, Dadeville, and Mt. View-Liberty boys.

Johnny Mac's HS Scoreboard Show 1/11/11

Though weather played havoc with some of the show (and many of the night's scheduled games), the Scoreboard Guy spoke to Bolivar coach Darin Archer.

My Deepest Apologies

I want to apologize for the communication problems with tonites show. With the weather creating less than optimal travel conditions I took it upon myself to conduct the show from my home, I made the mistake of making that decision late in the evening without making station manager Tom Ladd aware of the decision. Consequently Meyer-Com was not prepared for a remote location airing of the Johnny Macs HS Basketball Scoreboard Show and some difficulties insued. This will not happen again, we were on the air but not the well oiled machine that we have been, again my apologies to the listeners, advertisers, coaches and Ken Polriez aka Joboo. Tune in Friday Night,

Thankyou, and God Bless
Guy Newcomb
